Southern California War Tax Alternative Fund
Invites Applications For Its April 2010 Grants

The Southern California War Tax Alternative Fund is accepting applications for its April 2010 grants. The Fund is comprised of deposits from those who refuse to pay some or all of their U.S. taxes in opposition to war. Interest earned by the Fund is granted to groups or projects working for peace and satisfaction of social needs. Grants are usually $200-$800.

Projects and groups may apply for grant consideration by sending the following to SCWTAF by email to scwtr@yahoo.com or surface mail to the address below, to arrive no later than April 1, 2010:

  1. A request (maximum one page) for a grant from SCWTAF stating how much money is needed and how it will be used.
  2. A statement committing to acknowledge a grant by letter or participate in a presentation ceremony (grant recipients are not required to endorse war tax refusal)
  3. A brochure or one-page description of their activities
  4. Contact information for two reference people
